Oh Lucky Me!
First of all I won a giveaway from Flair for Fabric all the way from Montreal, Canada. It is one of Amy Butler's newest patterns, and guess what its not a bag pattern or even fabric, its a pattern for a tunic, top or short dress! Look at this beautiful pattern isn't it fab! I have also had the pleasure to have previously ordered fabric from this lovely selleralso. I can't tell you which fabric as it has been bought as a surprise for someone so I can't reveal any more at the moment. This seller has great customr service and is super helpful, go take a look at her yummy fabrics.
Yes, there is more loveliness to come.
I took part in a really great overseas swap on the theme of F-R-I-E-N-D-S. We were all given a swap partner that we had to send some little items that started with the letters of the word friends.
My swap partner was Lisa, who is also a member of Crows and Rosesand also a good friend so I was indeed lucky.
This has been a lovely week for beautiful things and surprises.
This is the lovely package of 'friends' items that I received from Lisa
F - Fabric Heart
R - Relaxing aroma (gorgeous candle)
I - Inspiring pattern (how did Lisa know I love Bareroots patterns)
E - Edible goodies (little Welsh cakes - all gone now!)
N - Needlework case in a super little fabric pouch
D - Dried Lavender
S - Stitched pillow (oops its upside down in the photo)
Thank you so much Lisa. I love the thoughtful ideas and kind thoughts that went into this swap, I count myself very lucky to have you as a friend x
I have also sent my swap to Lisa, who has now received it, but I forgot to photograph my swap but this is what I sent to her:
F - Fat quarter friendly storage tub pattern complete with fat quarters
R - Really nice handcream for tired sewing hands
I - Inspirational friendship book
E - Essential pins - heart topped pins
N - Nice Napkins
D - Decorative buttons
S - Shamrock seeds
This has been a realy fun swap and I have thoroughly enjoyed it!
Gosh, I am on a roll here! I have also found another fab place for fabric on the www. Once again the customer service is second to none and the name of this seller isGone to Earth, she also has a great blog with great tutorials and there is a giveaway on her blog at the moment - go enter!
As you know I love Amy Butler and at this moment in time I also love her Swing Bag pattern, so I made one for a friend who is going on holiday. This is a photo of the bag I made her, I got the fabric from Gone to Earth.
I did sew up another bag, not Amy Butler I know you are surprised!, but I will save that for another day.
