Love this ..................

I have something lovely to show you all, well I think so anyway!

Let me introduce the Amy Backpack.  This is the first backpack that I have made and I don't mind telling you that I was more than a little wary.  I used this pattern from Chris W Designs (I am very proud to be one of her pattern testers) and I can honestly say it isn't scary at all.  Once again Chris W Designs patterns are very well explained with lots of  helpful photographs.

I used Amy Butler's fabric (of course lol)  Cypress Paisley in the colourway Blush from her Love range of fabrics. The inside lining fabric is a pale pink solid colour.  There are lots of pockets in this backpack - two side elasticated pockets, one outside elasticated pocket, a zipped pocket on the outside and inside the bag is another large pocket.

I gave this backpack to a friend's daughter and she was delighted with it, so I am happy.

If you would like to buy any of ChrisW Designs patterns then click here, the best thing is they are instant download patterns which means no high postage costs and no waiting for patterns to arrive via snail mai (especially if you are impatient like me!)

I can see why your friend's daughter was pleased with it. It's lovely. Great fabric too! I have just taken a peek at the other bag patterns available and must say I shall know where to go when I'm looking for something different in the future.

Very impressive - both the bag and your skills, Stephanie!
Love the fabric choice too!

That backpack is gorgeous! No wonder the recipient was so pleased! It's fantastic, I have to say that I would be wary too, but I'm very impressed! :) x
