Well, here you go! I hand stitched the binding on last night and took a few photos this afternoon to let you see the finished quilt.
This quilt is for No. 1 Son who likes to play the guitar, see the guitar fabric - I love it!
Please excuse the grass on the patio (this is my spring job to clear it - yuk I hate it!).
I used the left over fabric and sewed them into a long strip for the back.
I wasn't sure how to quilt it but in the end I quilted a cross grid of straight lines as the front is so modern.
The pattern is Theres a square in there by Kate Conklin and have a look at this version
by Kate herself with a solid background of black - very cool.
The fabric was a fabric bundle from Fabric Worm.
I dont think they have this bundle any more but they always have a great selection.
The solid grey background fabric is Kona Coal and Kona Medium Grey on the back.
This was a quickish quilt to make I'm just sorry it took me so long to get it finished!
Other versions of this quilt can be seen here on Flickr.
For more patterns by Kate check them out here.
I think I might try one of her other patterns - watch this space.
PS Dont look too closely or you will see my mistakes :(
